College football schedule for Oct. 18: TV and streaming list

The college football season is heating up with Week 8 now here.

Though the first College Football Playoff isn’t for another two months, we’ll see essentially a Playoff game this weekend, when the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles take on the No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. At this point of the season, it’s hard to see the loser of this game being one of the four teams selected. This is even more true for the Noles, who, as of now, won’t play another ranked opponent this season.

As for other big matchups this week, the No. 4 Baylor Bears will look to remain undefeated when they travel to Morgantown to face the upstart West Virginia Mountaineers. Baylor is also in the thick of the race for a spot in the Playoff, but a loss to West Virginia would be fatal to those dreams.

Another big game of note also takes place in the Big 12, as No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 12 TCU square off in hopes of keeping their grim Playoff hopes alive. Both teams have one loss, though they’re to quality opponents. OSU lost their season-opener to Florida State, while TCU jut lost last week at Baylor.
