This happened after Georgia Southern’s 69-31 win over its conference neighbor:

Georgia Southern and Georgia State are new FBS programs. One is one of the most storied programs in the country, with six FCS national championships. The other is Georgia State.

This is the first-ever game between the two, though it’s already a heated rivalry. The team with more fans has at least boosted the home team’s attendance for the year.
