‘College Gameday’ headed to Mississippi State for first time

The Bulldogs will take on Auburn in a battle of SEC unbeatens.

For the second straight week, College GameDay will make its first ever appearance at one of Mississippi’s two SEC universities.

The show will head to Starkville Saturday to watch Mississippi State host Auburn in a potential Top 5 matchup between SEC West unbeatens. This will not only be the first time the Bulldogs have ever hosted the show -- it’s also the first time they’ve ever been a part of its premier game.

Last week, GameDay made its first trip to Oxford, watching Ole Miss take down Alabama. The upset sent celebrations throughout The Grove and sent the goalposts on a tour of the city. Could a Mississippi team take down one of the Alabama SEC elite again?

Auburn holds a dominating 61-24-2 lead in the all-time series between the two schools, and have won 11 of the last 13 games between the two schools. The Tigers won last year’s battle 24-20, the only one between current head coaches Dan Mullen and Gus Malzahn.
