How to watch Oklahoma vs. Iowa State: Game guide, TV schedule, streaming, odds

Can Iowa State finally pull off that Big 12 upset?

Is Oklahoma still a Big 12 contender? We’ll find out more about the Sooners Saturday when they travel to face Iowa State.

The Sooners have lost two of the last three games, falling to TCU and Kansas State. They still hold a now-impressive 12-point win over West Virginia, and will have further chances to prove themselves later on this season against Baylor and Oklahoma State. Oklahoma’s offense has racked up yardage but has struggled to consistently take advantage of scoring opportunities; now they’ll be going up against a defense giving up 35.3 points per game.

Iowa State has gotten oh so close this year. The Cyclones lost by four to Kansas State, hung with Oklahoma State for a while and lost to Texas by three. The team recorded one upset victory -- over Iowa -- but remain winless in Big 12 play. The Cyclones have a better chance of recording a conference victory next week against Kansas, but have a funny habit of playing conference powers close at home.

How to watch, listen, and stream

The numbers

Rankings and records: Oklahoma is No. 18 in the College Football Playoff Rankings, No. 19 in the AP Poll and No. 20 in the Coaches Poll. Iowa State is unranked in all polls. The Sooners are 5-2 this season, with a 2-2 record in Big 12 play putting them in sixth place. The Cyclones are 2-5 and tied for last place with an 0-4 conference record. Oklahoma holds a 71-5-2 lead in the all-time series and has won 15 meetings in a row.

Vegas: Oklahoma opened as a 16.5-point favorite. The line is now 16 with an over/under of 62.5, per Odds Shark.

Weather forecast: 47 degrees and partly cloudy.

Two things at stake

Oklahoma would essentially be eliminated from Big 12 title contention with a loss.

A win for Iowa State would aid Paul Rhoads’ job security significantly.

One big matchup

Oklahoma running backs vs. Iowa State front seven. The Sooners have been quite effective running the ball this season, led by Samaje Perine (657 yards, 10 touchdowns), Alex Ross (276 yards, three touchdowns) and Keith Ford (194 yards, five touchdowns). That trio will go up against a Cyclones' unit that surrendered 302 yards against North Dakota State and 24 rushing touchdowns on the season.
