The last time Wisconsin and Nebraska shared a football field, the Badgers left with a Big Ten Championship after a thorough 70-31 evisceration of the Huskers. That was in 2012 and Nebraska has not forgotten about the beating it took.

The Huskers head to Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday to try and exact some revenge on the Badgers. They will be fully rested coming off their bye week and bring the No. 10 scoring offense to face off against the Badgers’ No. 3 scoring defense.
Since losing to Michigan State at the beginning of October, Nebraska has rattled off three straight wins and a win could cement their status as the West Division’s top dog. The Badgers’ last loss came on the same day as Nebraska (to Northwestern, natch) but they have won four in a row in impressive fashion. Whichever team is able to establish their dominance on the ground could be on the way to a win and start (tentatively) planning a trip to the Big Ten Championship game.

The Numbers
Rankings and records: Wisconsin is 7-2 (4-1 in the Big Ten), and ranked No. 20 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Nebraska is 8-1 (4-1 in the Big Ten), and ranked No. 16.
Vegas: Wisconsin opened as a 4-point favorite. They’re now favored by 6.5 with an over/under of 57, per OddsShark.
Weather forecast: Partly cloudy with a high of 29, a low of 20 and a 10 percent chance of precipitation (probably snow!).
Two things at stake
For the Badgers, a win against a ranked opponent which will also make them favorites to win the West Division.
For the Huskers, a chance to break into the top 10 and an outside chance of being considered for the College Football Playoff if they win out.
One big matchup
Nebraska's rushing attack vs. Wisconsin's rush defense: Coming off of a bye week, Nebraska's star running back Ameer Abdullah is expected to be completely healthy after injuring his knee against Purdue two weeks ago. Despite missing almost the entire Purdue game, Abdullah remains the fifth-leading rusher in the nation. He has gained 1,250 yards on the season and reached the end zone 17 times (good for third in the land, behind Wisconsin opponent Melvin Gordon). He is a force to be reckoned with and the Badgers will have their hands full.
Luckily for Wisconsin, it boasts the fifth-best rushing defense in the country in terms of yards per game (94.3) and total yards (849). If the stout Badger rushing defense can contain Abdullah and force Tommy Armstrong Jr. into obvious passing situations, they have a good chance of besting Nebraska.
