How to watch Ole Miss vs. Arkansas: Game guide, TV/streaming, odds

Can Arkansas pull a second straight impressive upset?

Arkansas-Ole Miss isn’t typically a game to get super excited about. Neither team has great history, and they’re rarely good at the same time, but that might be changing, and this might be the first year that we see this.

After a dismal debut season, Bret Bielema has broken through this year with the Razorbacks and made them a respectable SEC team. However, because of how brutal scheduling is in the SEC West, Arkansas didn’t get its first conference win under Bielema until a 17-0 thrashing of LSU last week.

But there were other impressive performances before that, including a one-point loss to Alabama and an overtime loss to Texas A&M. The Razorbacks might only have the one conference win, but Ole Miss isn’t taking this game lightly.

For the Rebels, a once promising season has gone downhill a bit. They’re likely out of the College Football Playoff conversation now after beating Alabama and being on top of the college football world earlier in the year. This has still been a good year in Oxford, and the future is looking bright, but the Rebels need this win. It should be one fascinating game, and it’s probably the best game that you haven’t heard much about this weekend.

How to watch, listen, and stream

Game time: 3:30 p.m. ET

TV: CBS

Radio: Ole Miss Football Radio Network, Razorback Sports Network

Online streaming: CBSSports.com

The numbers

Rankings and records: Ole Miss is 8-2 and ranked eighth by the College Football Playoff selection committee. Arkansas is 5-5 and unranked.

Vegas: Ole Miss opened as a 2-point favorite. The line is now 3.5 with an over/under of 45, per OddsShark.

Weather forecast: High of 61, low of 53 with a chance of rain.

Two things at stake

A win would get Arkansas bowl eligible and provide some serious momentum for Bielema’s growing program.

Ole Miss needs this win to stay in (very slim) contention for the College Football Playoff.

One big matchup

Arkansas defense vs. Ole Miss offense: The Arkansas offense isn't going to score a ton of points, and especially not against the Ole Miss defense. If this game becomes a shootout, the Razorbacks have almost not chance. This one will be on the Arkansas defense to contain Bo Wallace and the Ole Miss offense. If they can do that, then Arkansas has a very good chance to pull the upset.
