The Big 12 doesn’t have any undefeated teams, but the end of the season in that conference could end up being more exciting than the home stretch anywhere else in the country. TCU, Baylor, Kansas State, West Virginia and Oklahoma — half (!!!) of the conference — can win on any given day. Two of them meet on Saturday in a game that could shape the conference race, as Baylor puts its College Football Playoff hopes on the line in Norman.
How to watch Baylor vs. Oklahoma: Game guide, TV/streaming, odds
Can Baylor keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive?
Oklahoma is likely out of the College Football Playoff race at this point, and it’s unlikely that the Sooners will win the Big 12 title. However, the Sooners still have a very dangerous team, and they’re actually ranked as the top team in the conference by Football Outsiders’ F/+ ratings.
Meanwhile, Baylor still has a chance to win the Big 12 and make the College Football Playoff, thanks to its escape against TCU, but the Bears will need to win out, which means beating both Oklahoma and Kansas State. The journey starts in Norman.

The numbers
Rankings and records: Baylor is 7-1 and ranked 12th by the College Football Playoff. Oklahoma is 6-2 and ranked 15th.
Vegas: Oklahoma opened as a 3-point favorite. The spread is now at 5. The over/under is 72.
Weather forecast: Sunny with a high of 60 and a low of 38.
Two things at stake
If Baylor loses, it will be eliminated from the College Football Playoff and likely from the Big 12 race.
A win would help Oklahoma move up in the rankings toward a top New Year’s Day bowl, and it would keep the Sooners’ slim conference championship hopes alive.
One big matchup
Oklahoma offense vs. Baylor defense: Since both of these teams are pretty good, there aren’t any obvious weaknesses on either of them. However, while Baylor’s offense is the one we all think of as one of the best in the country, Oklahoma’s has actually been better this year, according to F/+. The Sooners are efficient with big play ability, and they’ve proven that on offense this year. While the Bears’ offense will keep them in the game throughout, the defense needs to come to play against the underrated Oklahoma offense.
