You can make a 128-team College Football Playoff out of games that’ve already happened

It’s 32 times the fun.

After years of clamoring, college football fans have finally received a playoff this season. Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State will square off next month.

But four teams isn’t cool. You know what’s cool? 128 teams.

SB Nation 2014 College Football Guide

Neither Baylor nor TCU made it to the quarterfinal. They were stacked in the same bracket as each other and West Virginia -- the Bears eliminated the Frogs, and the Mountaineers eliminated Baylor (much like in the real-life playoff race). Five-loss West Virginia is the most surprising team to make it to the quarterfinals, with wins over Kansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Baylor before a loss to Alabama.

The main thing this playoff got right? Allowing Georgia Southern to play in the postseason, like everyone wanted. Sun Belt Champs forever, Eagles.
