Nebraska may be headed to the Holiday Bowl without their former head coach Bo Pelini in body, but he’s there with them in spirit.
Nebraska’s bus has an empty seat in honor of ex-coach Pelini
He’s just up the road at Youngstown State, guys.
The team, which clearly loved Pelini, left the front seat empty on the bus on their way to the game vs. USC, Assistant Director of Football Business Operations Austen Everson tweeted Saturday.

— Huskers Gameday (@HuskersGameday) December 28, 2014 Pelini, now the head coach at FCS Youngstown State, was fired after posting a 67-27 record in six seasons with the Cornhuskers, never able to break the 10-win hurdle. Nebraska replaced him with former Oregon State head coach Mike Riley earlier in December.
