COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMBLING: 7 bets for championship week

Which teams are the best bets during college football championship week?

A 7-8 Week 14 brings me to 146-131, +$371 as we enter Week 15. This week features some rivalry games and the conference championship games. All wagers at -110 odds unless otherwise noted. Visit Odds Shark for updated lines throughout each game week.

1. UCF at East Carolina -6.5: The Pirates are not as hot as they were to open the season, but UCF just does not score very many points. I expect the Knights to get stops, but for East Carolina to score enough to pull away.

2 and 3. Northern Illinois vs. Bowling Green +7 and Under 63: The Falcons have played good defense down the stretch, except for last week against Ball State. I expect Bowling Green to score enough to keep this one close or maybe pull off the victory.

4. Kansas State at Baylor Under 67: Baylor’s defense is underrated, and its offense is overrated. Kansas State wants to play the slowest game in human history.

5. Wisconsin vs. Ohio State Under 53: The Buckeyes are without J.T. Barrett. Replacement Cardale Jones is a big guy whom Urban Meyer will look to run a bunch, to prevent him from having to make too many reads against a good Wisconsin defense. Wisconsin will also look to run the football, and with both sides keeping things on the ground, this can be a game with a clock that keeps ticking.

6. Oklahoma State at Oklahoma -20: Mike Gundy is feuding with everyone, hasn’t had a decent quarterback in three months, and over the last month, his defense has become a major liability. Look for Bob Stoops to run this one up if he can, to appease supporters after a disappointing year for the Sooners.

7. Georgia Tech vs. Florida State -4: Tech has an excellent offense that can run the football and create low-possession games, and its defense has created a ton of turnovers of late. But Florida State has already seen this offense once this season against The Citadel, defensive coordinator Charles Kelly worked at Georgia Tech and knows the attack, and Georgia Tech’s defense, when not forcing turnovers, is a sieve. Tech’s ridiculous turnover luck of late must end at some point.

What are your top wagers of the week?
