Update, June 20: Receiver Damore’ea Stringfellow has transferred to Ole Miss.

Original, February 6: Two football players at the University of Washington are being investigated in connection with a fight after Sunday's Super Bowl, according to KIRO TV in Seattle. Among the players under investigation is wide receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow.

UW hasn’t confirmed that expected starting quarterback Cyler Miles and Stringfellow were involved in the fight, as is being reported. Head coach Chris Petersen has announced that Miles and Stringfellow have been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

According to police reports obtained by KIRO 7, a white car pulled up behind a man as he walked along NE 55th St. after the Seahawks won Sunday night.
Two people, including one the victim identified as Stringfellow, hopped out of the car and asked him if he was a Seahawks fan before pushing him against some bushes.
Then they began hit him with “multiple punches” to his “left eye, chin, and cheek” before the hopped back in the car and took off, according to the report.

Police have not confirmed which players are under investigation, though reports indicate the same two players were part of a fight during a celebratory bonfire on campus Sunday night. The victim told reporters that he identified the players involved by looking through the Washington football roster online.

Stringfellow, a freshman wide receiver for the Huskies, caught 20 passes for 259 yards and a touchdown in 2013. More than half of those receiving yards came in a breakthrough eight-catch, 147-yard performance against UCLA. He had been one of the nation’s more coveted receiver prospects, with a consensus four-star recruiting ranking and Under Armour All-American Game appearance.

As of Wednesday night, no arrests have been made in conjunction with the assault.
