The Steve Spurrier-Dabo Swinney solar system debate is still going

Pluto isn’t a planet anymore, and the rival football coaches are debating which of them knew that fact first. Or something.

Streeter Lecka

South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier is doing ESPN’s “Car Wash” interview session today, and from the get-go, he promised not to take any shots, as he’s accustomed to doing.

But that didn’t stop Spurrier from taking a shot at his rival coach’s knowledge of the solar system. On Monday, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney explained his relationship with Spurrier as, “He’s from Pluto, I’m from Mars.” The problem with that analogy is that Pluto is no longer considered a planet, and Spurrier jumped in right away with that knowledge bomb.

Hatin’ Ass Spurrier “just talking” is pretty great, too.

Update: This is still going.
