Oregon, UCLA favored to win 2014 Pac-12 race

The Ducks and the Bruins split the majority of the media votes.

Scott Olmos-USA TODAY Sports

Pac-12 Media Days begin Wednesday in Hollywood, Calif., and the Pac-12 media has picked its preseason division standings and winner for 2014. Oregon is favored to win the North Division and the conference while UCLA is picked to win the South Division.

While Stanford and USC also received votes to win the league, Oregon and UCLA are the heavy favorites. However, the Pac-12 media members haven’t been great prognosticators in recent years. They haven’t correctly picked a division winner since 2011, when Oregon won the North Division and the conference.

  1. Oregon (37 first-pace votes), 292 points
  2. Stanford (2), 192 points
