Abby Lutzenkirchen changes her number to remember her brother Philip
The Auburn great passed away this summer.

Number change alert: We've learned that Abby Lutzenkirchen will switch numbers from 33 to 43, in memory of her brother, Philip. #Lutz43 #RTR
— Alabama Soccer (@AlabamaSoccer) August 16, 2014 Philip, a former tight end who wore No. 43 for Auburn, died in a car accident in late June. The two were very close, with Philip writing about his relationship with his younger sister, including when he found out she decided to sign with rival Alabama. While he was attending Auburn, he would drive to watch Abby’s home games and even joked he was looking for a red shirt with “soccer” on it because he refused to wear Alabama crimson.
