The East Carolina Pirates will be without their top wide receiver Cam Worthy for their next two games, as he has been suspended for violating the student code of conduct, according to Fox Sports Carolinas' Lauren Brownlow.
East Carolina WR Cam Worthy suspended 2 games
The Pirates will be without their top receiver due to a violation of the school’s code of conduct.

Worthy’s suspension will run through October 4th, so he will miss Saturday’s in-state showdown against North Carolina and the game against SMU. The suspension apparently is connected to a “verbal disagreement” with another student back in the summer. There aren’t many details beyond that, but Worthy does not appear to be in any kind of legal trouble.
Worthy leads the Pirates with 302 receiving yards on only 11 receptions so far this season, but he went for 224 yards on six catches in ECU's big win over Virginia Tech. His absence will be a big against North Carolina, as Shane Carden will need as many weapons as he can get to keep up with the Tar Heels. The good news for ECU though, is that Justin Hardy and Isaiah Jones will still be available, and both have over 20 catches to their names so far this year.
