Suspended Jameis Winston wore full pads during warmup due to ‘miscommunication’

We knew the reigning Heisman winner wouldn’t play tonight, but he still dressed like he would. Until his coach told him to change. (We’ve updated with Jimbo Fisher’s explanation.)

We knew Jameis Winston wouldn't play against Clemson, and that Jameis Winston would be on the sidelines against Clemson even though he wouldn't play. But we didn't foresee this weirdness. First, Jameis took the field wearing pads: fsu

All things told, this is probably tremendously insignificant, but it's another strange moment in the relationship between a star player and his coach.
