Byron Marshall *almost* DeSean Jackson-ed on a 70-yard touchdown

He let go of the ball as he entered the end zone, but refs ruled he broke the plane.

Did he drop the ball before he enters the end zone?

The play was ruled a touchdown on the field, and after further review, the refs confirmed that ruling. It appears the ball was still in Marshall’s grip as the tip of the ball broke the plane, but it really is close.

Of course, Oregon was lucky enough to be on the right end of one of these plays this year when Utah’s Kaelin Clay dropped the ball on an apparent TD, only to have Oregon run the ball the other way.

Clay was watching!
