Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota was briefly taken out of the National Championship game after suffering an injury during the fourth quarter. Mariota was driven onto his right shoulder by Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa following a scrambling throw.

The Heisman Trophy winner sat out a snap after a tough hit, but is back on the field.

The Heisman Trophy winner missed the next snap, but returned to the game on a 3rd and 26 to throw a 19-yard completion to Dwayne Stanford. The Ducks punted on the next down, and Mariota returned to the sideline with no apparent difficulty.
Oregon trails Ohio State 35-20 with less than eight minutes left in the College Football Playoff Championship.
