We already have a contender for strangest game of the year. Due to extensive flooding from Hurricane Joaquin, South Carolina’s home game against LSU has been moved to Baton Rouge. That means LSU, which already lost a home game this year due to lightning, will play an 11-game schedule with five SEC home games.
How to watch LSU vs. South Carolina on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
With the game now in Baton Rouge, does South Carolina have a chance?

This already looked like a rough game for South Carolina, and now with a last-second move that makes this an away game, things are looking even more bleak. The Gamecocks are 0-3 in SEC play for the first time since Steve Spurrier became their coach in 2005, and the bleeding doesn’t look like it’s going to stop soon. It’s been a dramatic fall for South Carolina, which now has to face Leonard Fournette. Is it time for Spurrier to give up the headset?
On the other hand is LSU, which has the Heisman favorite in Fournette and a formidable defense that has led the Tigers to a win over Mississippi State and a blowout of Auburn. LSU doesn’t pass the ball at all, but the Tigers really don’t need to. And given the state of South Carolina football, they probably won’t need to on Saturday, either.

Three big things to know
1. Given the circumstances surrounding the game, what will South Carolina’s mindset be like? It’s been a strange week for the Gamecocks and now they have to travel all the way to Baton Rouge to play.
2. Back to football, is there any way South Carolina can stop Leonard Fournette? The Gamecocks have been better on defense this year, but stopping Fournette is a whole different animal.
3. If South Carolina loses, where does the season go from here? If the Gamecocks fall to 0-4, the hot seat under Spurrier will get even hotter.
