After two straight weeks of miserable calls, the Big 12 refs aren’t doing any better this week. Mid-drive against TCU, Kansas State’s quarterback threw a forward pass a good 10 feet past the line of scrimmage, and the refs didn’t call it.
Big 12 refs OK with K-State throwing a pass a solid 10 feet past the line of scrimmage
How do you miss this?

This should have been a loss of down, but apparently the refs thought the pass was backward — it was clearly not on replay, and it went almost a yard forward — and let play continue. They didn’t even review it!
Maybe this is just karma. Last week, the refs screwed Kansas State by gifting Oklahoma State a free first down on a touchdown drive. The Big 12 apologized and promised disciplinary actions. The week before, officials messed up a number of calls that went against Texas, which is funny, because every other team in the Big 12 has complained about officiating incompetence that has favored the Longhorns.
