This one could get NSFW quick if Boston College can’t find its offense. The Eagles have one of the best defenses in the country, but the offense has been comically bad. Case in point: Last week against Wake Forest, BC gave up five total first downs and three points and STILL lost, 3-0. That’s been par for the course for the Eagles all season. And now they get to face a much better team than Wake Forest.
How to watch Boston College vs. Clemson on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Can Clemson keep rolling?
After beating Notre Dame and Georgia Tech, Clemson looks like the class of the ACC. The Tigers have been maligned for “Clemsoning” — losing big games when highly ranked — but coach Dabo Swinney correctly pointed out that Clemson is actually a very reliable winner. In fact, Clemson might have the best team in all of college football this year, with some big wins and a fairly easy schedule ahead.
This game has the potential to be close, with two very good defenses, and Boston College has proven it can play close games against good teams, like Florida State. However, Clemson has the far better offense, meaning the Eagles are going to really have to turn it on like they haven’t yet this season if they’re going to have any chance.

Three big things to know
1. BC has chosen to play two quarterbacks so far this year, and that hasn’t gone particularly well! The coaching staff is expected to go with either Jeff Smith or Troy Flutie against Clemson. We’ll see how the one-QB system goes.
2. Can Clemson look even more impressive? The Tigers seem to be hitting their stride, but they need style points for the College Football Playoff committee. Can they pile them on against at stout Clemson defense?
3. Steve Addazio has a somewhat warm seat in Chestnut Hill. He can’t afford to have his team look hopeless against Clemson.
