Three things to know
1) Top 10 matchups could get ugly. There are two Saturday games that will have big implications on the post season for these highly ranked teams. No. 10 Alabama faces No. 9 Texas A&M on the road, and the Aggies are looking for revenge for the 59-0 loss they suffered last season against the Crimson Tide. No. 8 Florida heads to Baton Rouge to face No. 6 LSU without quarterback Will Grier.
2) Big Ten showdown. No. 7 Michigan State hits the road to take on a burgeoning No. 12 Michigan team. The Wolverines are coming off three games without allowing a score; that streak will likely end against the Spartans in a rivalry game that could come down to the last play. No. 20 Northwestern hosts No. 17 Iowa in a game where the Wildcats are looking to bounce back from a shutout against Michigan.
3) Can the Trojans rally with an interim coach? USC plays at No. 14 Notre Dame following a week filled with off-field drama. Offensive coordinator Clay Helton is the team’s interim coach, and he could strengthen his candidacy for the full-time position with a strong performance.
