The Cowboys’ in-state rivals, Oklahoma, also had a moment of silence before its game in a show of solidarity.
Unfortunately, Oklahoma State is no stranger to tragedy. In 2001, a plane crash killed ten people, including two members of the Cowboys basketball team. In 2011, women’s basketball coach Kurt Budke and assistant coach Miranda Serna were among four who died in another plane crash. You wouldn’t wish Saturday’s events on anyone, but it feels especially unfair that Oklahoma State has even more members of its community to mourn.
