In February, UCF made a last-second shot to beat Houston in basketball, and they also took down the Cougars in football last season. So naturally, the Knights tweeted this Vine to brag.
Houston Cougars waited 8 months for this presidential burn on UCF
They played the long game on this one.

Houstoned...just ask @UCF_Football & @UCF_MBB what it means. #ChargeOn https://t.co/21eH6cMQ19
— UCF Knights (@UCFKnights) February 15, 2015 Houston played the long game and responded to that Vine after its 59-10 victory over 0-7 UCF on Saturday, and it did so with a quote as old as the country.
"I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past." - Thomas Jefferson. #HTownTakeover #GoCoogs https://t.co/IKfIIn1EJy
— #HTownTakeover (@UHCougarFB) October 24, 2015 Houston’s future looks pretty bright. Tom Herman is undefeated and has his team ranked in his first season with the Cougars. Meanwhile, UCF has yet to win a game and just saw its coach step down as athletic director (but stay as coach). And a bar in Orlando has become a national story because it’s promised to give out free beer until the Knights start winning.
Probably better for UCF to keep living in the past.
