How to watch Ohio State vs. Indiana on TV or online, plus 3 things to know

Can Indiana inch closer to GameDay!?

Unfortunately, despite a massive response from fans across the country, #iufb4gameday won’t be happening for Indiana vs. Ohio State this week. Instead, College GameDay will be headed to Clemson for the Tigers’ game against Notre Dame. Nevertheless, Indiana caught GameDay’s attention and can use this game as an audition for the future.

So how did the Hoosiers get to the point where they thought GameDay was attainable? Well, Indiana is 4-0! It hasn’t been an impressive 4-0 — a one-point win over FCS Southern Illinois and one-possession games against Western Kentucky and Wake Forest. But 4-0 is 4-0, especially for Indiana, which hasn’t been to a bowl game since 2007. And besides, Indiana would typically lose games like the Western Kentucky win. This is progress.

Of course, the task gets a lot tougher now against Ohio State. After struggling against Northern Illinois, the Buckeyes’ offense got back on track against Western Michigan, and it’s tough to see Cardale Jones and company having much of a problem carving up the Indiana defense. Moreover, an impressive Indiana offense will have its hands full with an OSU defense full of stars.

Three big things to know

1. Does the Ohio State quarterback battle have its second straight week of stability? Given how porous the Indiana secondary is, Jones has a chance to really take hold of the job. If he struggles, things could get even messier with Big Ten season under way.

2. Alright, Indiana, this is your time. It’s probably not going to happen, but if the Hoosiers want to make the jump to national relevance, beating Ohio State would be a good place to start.

3. Indiana has a pretty potent offense with quarterback Nate Sudfeld and running back Jordan Howard. Can it do anything against the star-studded Ohio State defense? That might make the difference in this game.
