Florida State has had a week to stew over its stuttering 14-0 win over Boston College, and now travel north to take on Wake Forest. The Seminoles haven’t had any problems quickly dispatching Wake recently, which would be a welcome change after only scoring one offensive touchdown against BC.
How to watch Florida State vs. Wake Forest on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Can the Demon Deacons keep it close, or will Florida State roll to another blowout?
For what it’s worth, Wake Forest appears to be better than it’s been in recent years. They’ve put together a strong defensive performance early this year, and were fairly close in their losses to Indiana and Syracuse. Stepping up to Florida State is a significant jump, though, so it remains to be seen whether they can hang for an entire afternoon.

Three big things to know
1. Opportunity for a big game. Florida State's offense, outside of Dalvin Cook, has been spotty so far. They've had to replace a lot of talent, but considering the level of recruits Jimbo Fisher has been bringing in, so far it's been disappointing. The Seminoles have beat Wake Forest by an average score of 51-2 over the last three years, so now's the time.
2. Is Wake’s defense for real? Sure, it’s only through four games and the competition wasn’t exactly crazy, but Wake Forest is top 20 in total defense. When you adjust for tempo and look at the Demon Deacons in terms of yards per play, they’re still allowing under 5 yards per play. Can they keep up that kind of defensive effort against Florida State?
3. But seriously, Dalvin Cook. He's averaging 7.44 yards per carry and over 158 yards per game this season. He's good at football.
