Despite a light schedule last Saturday, college football didn’t disappoint. It left multiple ranked teams upset and several non-Power 5 conference teams were clamoring for their time in the limelight. Week 9 started strong with a full Thursday slate of games, including an Oregon-Arizona State game that went into three overtimes.

Saturday’s games will be filled with division rivalries (Georgia at No. 11 Florida) and historical matchups (No. 9 Notre Dame at No. 21 Temple) at night. This prime time game will also be the only game against ranked opponents this week, and it shouldn’t disappoint.

Three things to know
1) SEC shakeups. The winner of the Georgia-Florida game will have big implications for the top honors in the SEC East. Over in the SEC West, Auburn takes on Ole Miss in Week 9. Auburn gets sadder as the season progresses and Ole Miss is looking for a win that could bump them ahead of Alabama for No. 1 in the West.
2) Only one ranked game. Notre Dame heads to Temple to take on a decent Owls’ team under the lights. This is one of the better Temple teams in recent memory and could certainly give the Fighting Irish some trouble.
3) Gophers will miss Coach Kill. Just days after reigning Big Ten coach of the year Jerry Kill retired due to medical reasons, his Minnesota Gophers will face one of their tougher challengers at home. The Gophers host the No. 15 Michigan Wolverines, but have enough emotion to come away with an upset over a division opponent.
