Texas Tech defensive back Jah'Shawn Johnson got tossed from the Red Raiders' game against Oklahoma State for this hit. It was ruled targeting on the field, and then upheld after review, despite Johnson's helmet not really appearing to make contact with the other player's.
Add this Texas Tech tackle to what’s considered targeting, apparently
I know officiating is hard, but sheesh.

The view from this Vine really shows just how egregious this call was, and how inexplicable it is that it was upheld.
People love to complain about targeting all the time, but this could be the worst call of the season. It doesn’t even look like their helmets touched! Oh, if you’re wondering, this is the same crew that called the Texas-Oklahoma State game that got Texas fans so dang mad.
