No. 9 Notre Dame took an early lead over the No. 21 Temple Owls on a touchdown run from DeShone Kizer. The Irish looked pretty calm and collected on their first drive, which was efficient and went into the teeth of what’s been a good Temple defense. After Kizer scored, he decided he needed to give Temple some of that stink.
Notre Dame QB taunts Temple by flapping wings like an owl after 2 different TDs
What’s wrong with this picture?

So, to recap: A player from Notre Dame, a program drenched in tradition that has played in countless games bigger than tonight’s, felt the need to talk some junk at Temple, a team that has never been good and is literally playing its first big game ever. Got it.
Maybe Temple players were talking a whole mess of trash before the game or during that drive. It’s hard to tell without actually being on the field. Based on this Vine, it’s certainly possible that Kizer was responding to some noise from a Temple player after the touchdown.
However, consider the fact that he later did it again after another TD:
Come on, though. I’m normally in favor of trash talk of every stripe, but you need to understand how this looks. You’re Notre Dame. They’re Temple. Temple.
