Three things to know
1) Big 12 is getting serious. No. 12 Oklahoma travels to No. 6 Baylor on Saturday, and the matchup won’t disappoint. Baylor beat Oklahoma for the first time in 20 years back in 2011 and has won the past two years. With the Bears still clamoring for a spot in the College Football Playoff, they’ll have to get past the Cowboys first.
2) Upset alert? The No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes head to Illinois to take on the unranked Illini. Both teams had their share of off-field drama in the past few weeks – J.T Barrett’s OVI suspension, Illinois’ AD being fired – and history between these teams has shown that there’s no such thing as a ‘sure thing’. They will both be fighting for the their chance to take the Illibuck trophy home, but will also be playing for pride.
3) Maybe not so surprising. Midseason powerhouses No. 21 Memphis and No. 24 Houston will face-off for their team's chance to stay in the Top 25. Both teams have certainly made a name for themselves this season, but at this point expectations have been lifted. NC State is hoping to catch Florida State off guard, following the Seminoles disappointing loss to Clemson last week.
