Sports can bring out the worst in people, unfortunately. This is especially true when the stakes are high, like they are for this Saturday’s showdown between No. 2 LSU and No. 4 Alabama. Some kids at an off-campus apartment in Tuscaloosa made this absolutely deplorable sign, and then displayed it for the world to see.
This deplorable Bama fan sign was taken down, but not before Leonard Fournette saw it
Bad idea all around.

— Jonathan Jones (@jjones9) November 7, 2015 College kids are famous for not really thinking before they do something, but it’s really incredible that no one said “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t use one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history that forever changed the lives of millions of people for a cheap joke about a football game.” But here we are.
The sign was apparently taken down pretty quickly, but not before star LSU running back Leonard Fournette saw it.
Inspire us to go harder love my savages.......

Real smooth, idiots. Even when you take general human decency out of the equation, this is what happened the last time someone made Fournette mad.
The university, in a statement:
UA is appalled that anyone would display a banner with such an inappropriate and offensive statement. It’s our understanding that the banner was hung at an off-campus apartment complex and it has been removed.
