Scary story. Star Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche is in stable condition after falling 15 feet at an Atlanta hotel, according to police. One report says Nkemdiche only sustained “multiple cuts.” The police say Nkemdiche broke through a window at the hotel, and that there was suspected marijuana in the room he was in. There is no word yet from Ole Miss.

Crootin’. This was a big Sunday for recruiting. Some of the highlights:
- Oregon’s new WR commit is named EDDIE MCDOOM. The Ducks also flipped four-star QB Tristen Wallace from Ohio State.
- 2017 five-star athlete Richard LeCounte III picks Kirby Smart’s Georgia over Ohio State and others.
- It was a good day for Minnesota. 2016 QB Seth Allen flipped from Oregon to Minnesota following coordinator Scott Frost’s departure. The Gophers also got CB Coney Durr.
- Tennessee loses DT D’Andre Christmas-Giles, with LSU and Texas now favored.
- Iowa State got three commitments Sunday. The Cyclones flipped CB Romelo Webster from Cincinnati and added two offensive linemen, three-star Josh Mueller and JUCO Karson Green.
- Florida lost WR Isaiah Johnson, but the Gators added four-star DE Jordan Smith in a surprising turn of events.
- Washington got a commitment from 2018 (yes, 2018) four-star QB Jacob Sirmon.
- WR Jeremiah Holloman committed to Michigan.
- OT Ryan McCollum committed to Texas A&M.
- Pitt flipped three-star S Phil Campbell III from Rutgers and got a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Zack Williams.
$$$$. Texas A&M pays its assistant coaches a total of $4.4 million, good for fifth in the country.
This year’s FCS QB transfer target appears to be down to Alabama or Oregon, with Bruce Feldman reporting a decision to come Monday.
