Utah punter pulls off fake punt one week after declaring he doesn’t like to run

This punter is good at things he doesn’t enjoy.

Via ABC

Utah punter Tom Hackett said a mere week ago while being named the country’s best punter that he plays the position because he doesn’t like to run. And yet here he is, running well and catching archrival BYU slipping in the Las Vegas Bowl while up 35-14.

WAS HE JUST SAYING THAT TO SET UP THE COUGARS FOR THIS FAKE?

I don’t know why you’re yelling at me. I was just saying it was funny that he said the thing about not running and then ran.

MAKES YOU THINK, THOUGH.

Yeah, I guess. He also said on stage in Vegas that the state of Utah belongs to the Utes and not the “bastards” from Provo, which isn’t really about running.

Oh, also, he got his car stolen and got it back, documenting the whole ordeal on Twitter. That wasn’t about running, either, but it was also a thing he probably didn’t like and was good at anyway.

PRETTY GOOD FAKE PUNT.

Yeah. Kinda outran his blocker, but whatever.
