Baker Mayfield’s pass landed three yards out of bounds, but Clemson got called for a 15-yard penalty regardless.

No. 1 Clemson defensive back Ryan Carter earned a pass interference call on this potentially uncatchable second-and-9 pass. Samaje Perine dove into the end zone six plays later to give Oklahoma a 7-0 lead less than four minutes into the game.
