In the ACC Championship Game, Clemson punter Andy Teasdall made a massive mistake. He opted to run with the ball on a 4th-and-long play where Dabo Swinney just wanted him to punt it, leading to Swinney ripping into him on the sideline. He redeemed himself in the College Football Playoff against Oklahoma:
Clemson punter who screwed up fake punt TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF in the Playoff
Turns out Clemson’s punter can make a neat play when he’s actually supposed to!

On fourth-and-4, Clemson called for a fake punt that featured Teasdall running to his right as if to kick a directional punt, then doubling back and throwing the ball to freshman defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. He absolutely nailed it, dropping a beautiful dime to Wilkins down the sideline for a 31-yard gain.
Let's also not sleep on the impressive job Wilkins did, as the 315-pounder did a great job finding himself in space. It was the first reception by a defensive lineman in Clemson history. The play's called "UConn," too, because Wilkins is from Connecticut. Clemson's known for producing wide receivers, and that apparently includes big fellas, too.

— Coach Jeff Scott (@coach_jeffscott) January 1, 2016 Before the game, ESPN published a story with the headline “Clemson punter Andy Teasdall hoping to avoid spotlight vs. Oklahoma.” So if he knew this trick play was in the arsenal before the game, he didn’t let anybody know about it.
