No. 2 Alabama can punch its ticket to the College Football Playoff if it can take care of business against Florida in the SEC Championship in Atlanta. The Tide and Gators are no strangers to this game, but they come into the 2015 edition in drastically different states.

The Crimson Tide and Gators get together again in Atlanta.
Alabama, of course, is looking great. It recovered nicely from its loss to Ole Miss and has been nearly unstoppable ever since. The defense is as good as ever, and the offense is running on a steady diet of punishment from battering ram running back Derrick Henry. It is humming on all cylinders.
Florida, meanwhile, is not. The Gators have been scraping along for weeks now, with the defense largely saving the day until last week’s 27-2 embarrassment at the hands of Florida State. Now with two losses, Florida is out of the Playoff picture, but it can throw the whole Playoff into chaos if it springs the upset on Alabama.

Three big things to know
1. So is Alabama going to win a blowout or what? It’s hard to draw any other conclusion, really. Alabama has arguably looked like the best team in the country for months now, and Florida is utterly incapable of anything positive on offense, and that’s playing against teams much worse than Alabama.
2. Can Florida’s offense pull a miracle? Since their 27-3 win over Georgia in the Cocktail Party, the Gator offense has done the following: nine points (vs. Vanderbilt), 24 (at South Carolina), 20 (vs. FAU), and two (and that wasn’t even the offense!) (vs. Florida State). November was a nightmare, and December probably won’t be much better against the Alabama defense.
3. Will Derrick Henry have over 40 carries again? Hard to imagine he’ll be playing into the fourth quarter, but we know it’s possible!
