PODCAST AIN’T PLAYED NOBODY: Semifinals! Heisman! Bowl bumps! Relevant things!

We couldn’t wait to commemorate the 16th episode of PAPN, so we recorded a day early. And we accidentally talked about some relevant things! Some topics:

  • Watchability and the Big Ten (and the persecution complex of both Big Ten and SEC fans).
  • Wonderful Iowa fans (no, seriously, they’re great).
  • Bowl bumps that we know are coming (congrats in advance, Arkansas).
  • Bowls you must see (you know Arkansas State-Louisiana Tech gets a mention) and bowls you must skip (i.e. the dead air that follows “Give me a reason to watch Penn State-Georgia”).
  • Tennessee and the scars of close losses.
  • Alabama-Michigan State and Clemson-Oklahoma.
  • New York Week for college football and its media.
  • The suddenly interesting Heisman race and the case for Christian McCaffrey, Deshaun Watson, and Dalvin Cook (and sort of Derrick Henry).
