The Las Vegas Bowl figured to be a hot ticket after it was announced that Utah and BYU would be playing a holiday Holy War. That series has not been played since 2013. And unsurprisingly, the Las Vegas Bowl announced that it has sold out its 38,500-seat stadium.
The BYU-Utah Las Vegas Bowl sold out in under 22 hours
That’s what happens for a postseason Holy War.

We are now sold out of tickets for the general public. Please check with the BYU or Utah ticket offices for availability in their sections.

— Greg Wrubell (@gregwrubell) December 7, 2015 BYU fans also got a head start on buying general public tickets, since the Cougars learned they had been selected for the bowl four days before Utah did. Tickets for the game start at $185 on StubHub, higher than any New Year’s Six or College Football Playoff game, other than the Rose Bowl. Last year’s Las Vegas Bowl, between Utah and Colorado State, only sold 33,000 tickets.
