ESPN will welcome Tim Tebow back ‘when his playing career is done’

So ... is Tebow going to be back by the time the college season starts?

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

Tim Tebow signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, which means his time as an analyst for the SEC Network is temporarily finished after one year.

However, that doesn’t mean he won’t be back with the network (which is part-owned by ESPN) after he’s done in Philadelphia, whenever that may be. ESPN released a statement that said it would welcome the Florida national champion and Heisman winner back after he’s done with football.

We appreciate Tim’s contributions to the launch of SEC Network and wish him all the best as he pursues his NFL dream. Tim quickly established a tremendous rapport with everyone he worked with in front of and behind the camera. He has a tireless work ethic and a unique passion for football. Tim developed quickly into an excellent analyst. He has a home at ESPN when his playing career is done.
