THE READ OPTION: How long until Tim Tebow’s back working for ESPN?

Welcome to your daily digest of college football stuff.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

TEBOW BACK. Tim Tebow is back in the NFL, signing a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. More important for the college football world is his role with the SEC Network, which the Florida legend began last year.

If Tebow makes the Eagles, he won’t be able to be on-air on Saturdays in the fall, obviously. However, ESPN released a statement saying it would welcome him back with open arms “when his playing career is done.”

So the question becomes when will the Heisman winner be coming back? There’s a very real chance that he won’t make the Eagles’ roster, given his past NFL stints, meaning he might not end up missing any time during the college football season at all.

Our Florida site describes this as actually a decent chance for Tebow in the NFL, and lets us all remember the waves Tebow would’ve made by signing with Alabama over the Gators in the first place.

Boise State is as good as ever. Boise State was supposed to fall off, but that never happened. SB Nation's Steven Godfrey took a trip to Boise to talk with head coach Bryan Harsin.

Goofing off with President Obama! Ohio State visited the White House on Monday. This happened:

And:

SMU’S gonna be awful, BUT ... SMU was absolutely terrible last year, but with Chad Morris coming in, the Mustangs will be a lot of fun, says Bill C.

Today in pretty good Jim Harbaugh quotes:

“I heard that if you drink milk that builds strong bones, and convinced myself that I’ll drink as much milk as I possibly can drink,” Jim Harbaugh said.

So, as a third grader, Jim Harbaugh said he got a job at his elementary school distributing milk to the students. The pay was a free milk every day, plus the ability to drink the milk of the kids who weren’t there or who didn’t want their milk.

“I drank a lot of milk, Andrea,” he says. “A lot of milk. Whole milk, though. Not the candy ass two-percent or skim milk.”

Cal coach arrested for ... Pierre Ingram, Cal’s top recruiter, was arrested for allegedly soliciting a prostitute. Cal released a statement saying it is aware of the situation and that Ingram did not participate in the spring game.

Blind long-snapper might play for USC. On a much brighter note, this is a very cool story on a life-long USC fan and blind long-snapper, Jake Olson, who will walk-on to the Trojans’ football team.

“Someday, he’s going to snap in a game for us,” Sarkisian told the Los Angeles Times. “When? I don’t know. But it will happen.”

The composite mock draft. Dan Kadar combined 20 mock drafts into one, giving you probably the best single look at what’s going to happen next week.

ARGYLE. UNC’s new football uniforms have it.
