More trouble for Illinois. Several more players have come out and said some pretty unflattering things about Tim Beckman, and the National College Players Association (the nonprofit pushing player unions) has requested an independent investigation into Illinois football. It seems like this won't go away quietly.

Stay informed! Wondering where Everett Golson will end up? We've made a rumor tracker where you can find every piece of news/conjecture about him. How efficient! So, speaking of Golson:
He visited Florida the day after going to see Florida State. Alabama’s interested as well, but it sounds like they’re not optimistic he’ll be granted a waiver by the SEC. The Seminoles remain the most likely destination, but it sounds like Golson isn’t done taking visits and will be heading to Georgia probably next week.
Different approaches. Colorado State is using Jim McElwain’s $7 million buyout to fund cost of attendance stipends for athletes. Utah State, meanwhile, is passing the bill along to taxpayers.
Getting thinner. Michigan's secondary is down a man, as fifth year cornerback Blake Countess will transfer and play his graduate year elsewhere. Luckily for them, the Wolverines brought in a transfer of their own in Wayne Lyons from Stanford.
In other Michigan news. Their much-discussed “Exposure U” summer camp will feature a concurrent quarterback camp, and it will include... well, they all played quarterback, I suppose.

— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) May 13, 2015 From the football field to the squared circle. Dan Schwaba left Northwestern this past season to pursue his dream in professional wrestling. He spoke with Inside NU about his journey.
He's a relatively late starter — there are teenagers in the gym who are far more experienced than he is — but he's a quick learner, and perhaps most importantly, he's hungry and eager to improve. He rehearses his back flop, which produces a deafening bang on the canvas, multiple times before practicing the technique of throwing an opponent from rope to rope. To a newcomer to the institution of WWE-style wrestling, it's shocking just how coordinated the whole ordeal is. It's not the chaotic free-for-all one might expect; there's a calculated method to the madness.
The end goal, performing live in front of millions at WWE's Wrestlemania, provides all the motivation needed to power through the tedious repetition needed to master a new maneuver, to embark on that nuisance of a drive and to attack the steep learning curve Schwaba faces.
Leonard Fournette: Workout enthusiast. It sounds like LSU's phenom running back has spent his summer working on his fitness.
Caught up w/LSU coach Les Miles earlier before a TigerTour stop in Houston. He said Leonard Fournette is "lighter, faster, stronger." Scary.
— Sam Khan Jr. (@skhanjr) May 12, 2015 Impressive work. Iowa and Tennessee fans watched a not-particularly-competitive TaxSlayer Bowl this past year, so it makes sense that they went and drank EverBank Field completely out of whiskey for the first time ever. Go Hawks. Go Vols.
