Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan might be the country’s most experienced team

Experience(d) Pure Michigan. If you’re a Michigan fan and looking for a reason for optimism in 2015 beyond JIM HARBAUGH IS HERE, you might be in luck. A year after being one of the nation’s most inexperienced teams, the Wolverines have more experience returning than anyone else in the nation, according to a formula by Phil Steele.

Could this mean a big Year 1 for Harbaugh?

“The schedule is volatile. The two best teams (Ohio State, Michigan State) come to Ann Arbor and four of the five projected between 37th and 56th play host to the Wolverines,” Bill Connelly wrote in his huge Wolverines preview. “Michigan could struggle to make a bowl ... or play on January 1.”

West Virginia and Utah are the only other power conference teams in Steele’s top 10, but Navy (No. 2) and Georgia Southern (No. 7) could make noise nationally.

Wake Forest, Florida and Florida State are the least experienced in the country, based on these numbers.

Urban parking issues. Urban Meyer, like most major college coaches, has his own parking spot at Ohio State. Someone took that spot, so he just blocked them in. They probably weren’t able to leave for a while.

OTL issues. ESPN’s Outside The Lines did an important piece over the weekend on the tendency of athletes in high-profile sports to get out of criminal charges. One of the schools investigated was Missouri. Rock M Nation says that while it was important for OTL to shed light, the story had flaws.

Can Duke stay good? Duke has remarkably had a good football program the past couple years. However, with stars leaving, this will be the year we find out whether Duke has staying power.

“Johnny Idiotface.” That’s the nickname Texas A&M legend Johnny Manziel got from the WWE World Heavyweight champ at Raw in Cleveland.

Off his knockers. Cam Newton is a Heisman winner and rich NFL QB, but he might be even better at knockerball, in which you run into people wearing a giant bubble.

Cam is MEAN with the bubble.

In Soviet Gainesville, ball intercept Driskel. Jeff Driskel is not very popular in Gainesville. However, he appears to be very popular among Russian nesting doll collectors. And whose affection would you rather win?

Colorado State’s new mural is INTENSE. There are many ways football can be dangerous. Getting tackled by a ram is one of those ways.

Kentucky satellite program? Mark Stoops coaches in the SEC, so he is contractually obligated to hate satellite camps. However, given Kentucky’s location, Stoops might be better off if the SEC were to allow the camps.

CROOTIN’: Among other Monday commits, top-10 safety Marquel Dismuke picks Nebraska, while QB/athlete Victor Viramontes goes Michigan.
