Peyton Manning leads symphony in performance of ‘Rocky Top’

Good morning! This is your daily roundup of college football stuff.

You’ve seen Peyton Manning dancing to Tennessee Volunteers anthem “Rocky Top” at Denver Broncos practice. But have you seen him lead the Colorado Symphony in a rendition?

Now if only Peyton could do something about that guy playing “Sweet Home Alabama” at Tennessee practice ...

An early National Signing Day is probably coming. We broke down what that means for you and your school, as well as potential winners and losers.

Army-Navy isn’t budging. The College Football Playoff changes plans for the service academy classic, not the other way around.

Educational television. Spencer Hall analyzes Rose’s football strategies from The Golden Girls.

Pat Narduzzi, football exorcist? Bill Connelly’s team-by-team preview rolls on with Pitt, whose head is spinning around and vomiting pea soup.

Seems mean, Dan. Mississippi State’s head coach joined the chorus of SEC coaches crowing about Big Ten satellite camps, giving Jim Harbaugh some time management advice.

WOE IS BAMA. Hours after Roll Bama Roll worried about the Tide’s receiving corps, the team added a 1,000-yard transfer eligible to play this season.

Whatever Mom wants. Bobby Petrino on family play-calling advice:

My mom asked me before every game, ‘Are you going to open with the run or the pass?’ And I just say, ‘What do you want, Mom?’ There’s not one person that doesn’t want you to open with a pass, right? I like opening with a pass, too.

Nebraska, Big Ten West champs? Phil Steele’s calling for it. Bill C. noted the Huskers set up for a nice 2015, if Mike Riley can capitalize.

“Drug charges, including heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine.” That’s bad, Indiana.

Expect a lot of sloppy FSU games. Not only are the Seminoles inexperienced, so are most of their opponents.

#SQUADGOALS. Second-year Eastern Michigan coach Chris Creighton made an interesting point about relative success.

I would also argue, whoever won the national championship, Ohio State, there’s a lot of confetti and it’s a great accomplishment, but to me, not greater than what Baylor, Kansas State, Duke and Northern Illinois have accomplished.

That’s what we have the opportunity to do at Eastern Michigan, really do something great. Going from what it is right now to hopefully becoming special.

Three reasons Tennessee should beat Oklahoma? Hmmm ...

Best dad shirt on Earth: Vince Wilfork’s “WORLD’S GREATEST FARTER” shirt is it.
