Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs — the former Puff Daddy — whose son is a defensive back on UCLA’s football team, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon at the football facilities on Monday.

The deadly weapon? A kettlebell.
Combs reportedly confronted strength coach Sal Alosi (never, ever fight a strength coach) for yelling at Combs’ son, and a confrontation ensued. UCLA reported Alosi was not injured. Alosi is best known for tripping a Miami Dolphins player while an assistant for the New York Jets.
There is no video of the incident with Diddy, but we have an idea of how it must have gone down.
United Carolina. As the debate regarding the Confederate flag’s place in South Carolina rages on, the University of South Carolina’s president, athletic director and head coaches are taking a stand against the flag.
Hopeful recovery. Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley was involved in a scary car wreck on Sunday, but luckily, Missouri announced that he is okay and recovering. However, he suffered a fractured tibia and ligament damage. There is no timetable for his return to football.
Cam’s got jokes! Cam Newton took a snap with an underinflated football. He made a little joke about Tom Brady. Pretty harmless, but people are seriously mad about this.
Mascot games. Mascots are either the creepiest or the funnest part of college sporting events, and all of these mythical creatures have names. See if you can name them all! This will probably be the hardest quiz you ever take.
