College football fans will get to see a 2011 BCS National Championship Game rematch in a few years. Oregon and Auburn will open the 2019 season with a neutral-site meeting at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, 247Sports’ Matt Prehm is reporting.

This game is the latest in a slew of season-opening games in NFL stadiums, a trend college football fans have been unable to avoid. Big on-campus games are what make the sport special, but big money and a desire not to miss the College Football Playoff means these neutral-site games are probably going to stick around.

That title game matchup, which the Tigers won 22-19, is the only time these two programs have ever played each other. At the time, Oregon was coached by Chip Kelly, while Auburn was coached by Gene Chizik.

Assuming these two programs still run similar styles in 2019, this could be a highly explosive offensive matchup. The two teams combined to score 80.9 points per game last season.
