Ohio State coach responds to silly Michigan infograph

If you can’t say anything nice, you should probably go say it on Twitter.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Recruiting can be a little nasty. Teams distribute all kinds of stuff on social media talking about how great their coaches/schools/everything are, and that sometimes can go negative when talking about rivals.

This infographic talking up Michigan passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch showed up on the internet on Saturday, and Ohio State receivers coach Zach Smith was not having it.

To be fair, we’re not sure if someone associated with Michigan made this, or if it was just a Wolverine fan trying to zap his team’s rival. It’s sort of silly, considering Fisch was very recently fired by the Jacksonville Jaguars, but oh well. Smith was not done going in, though.

If you enjoy people piling on Michigan, I would encourage you to see Smith’s entire timeline from yesterday. Tom Herman, who was the offensive coordinator at Ohio State before leaving to take the head job at Houston, was able to get in on it too.

The Buckeyes picked up a four-star wide receiver commitment on Sunday morning as well, so it would seem that they’ve survived this whole episode unscathed.
