Jim Ross calls the Auburn-Alabama ‘Kick 6’

MAH GAWD.

Shanna Lockwood-USA TODAY Sports

One of the Sports Internet’s favorite things is to dub audio of WWE announcer Jim Ross over any number of video clips. Ninety-nine percent of the time, the audio is coming from the Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell in a Cell match at King of the Ring ‘98. It’s a classic.

Ross went on with Paul Finebaum, and rather than just dub an old clip onto it, he actually gave his own call to the “Kick Six” play that gave Auburn the win over Alabama in the 2013 Iron Bowl.

It’s hard to recreate the spark of watching that play happen live, but I can’t help but feel this came off a little flat. I love you, JR, but I need you to sell that a little bit more.
