After a one-year swan song in Adidas jerseys, the University of Michigan will make the move back to being a Nike school.
Michigan dumps Adidas to return to Nike
The “champions of the West” will return to the same athletic apparel manufacturer they wore the last time they won a college football national championship.

On Aug. 1, 2016, the university and the athletic footwear, apparel, and equipment manufacturer will enter into an 11-year agreement with a school option to extend the deal all the way to 2031.
The university had hosted (as well as had multiple visits) with Nike, Under Armour and Adidas (their current apparel partner) over the last several months before opting for Nike. The Wolverines’ primary rivals, Ohio State and Michigan State, were both already Nike schools.
Though specific financial details won’t be available for another week, the university announced that the move will additionally shift the Michigan men’s and women’s basketball teams to the vaunted Nike Jumpman/Michael Jordan brands.
