Oregon’s battle to replace Marcus Mariota can now officially begin

Happy Ducks! Graduate transfer quarterback Vernon Adams passed his final test at Eastern Washington and will be eligible for Oregon this season. He’s expected to compete with junior Jeff Lockie, who’s continued to gain experience in the system this offseason.

The dual-threat should fit in Oregon’s system, and Adams has already impressed against Pac-12 competition. He’s thrown for 475 yards and seven touchdowns in a game against Washington and led the Eagles to a win over then-No. 25 Oregon State.
