One week in, and we know what we already suspected: Ohio State’s offense is really, really good. The Buckeyes exploded for 42 points against a top Virginia Tech defense, and they showed off all their weapons in the process. Braxton Miller showed that he might be one of the best wide receivers in the country, while Michael Thomas juked one of the country’s best corners. Cardale Jones proved, once again, to be a threat with both his arm and his legs, and when he wasn’t in, J.T. Barrett was busy running wild.
How to watch Hawaii vs. Ohio State on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
What fun things will Ohio State have in store for us this year?
Have fun, Hawaii.
That said, Hawaii had a pretty good week one, too! It’s not a great time for the Warriors, who might have to cancel their football program if they don’t start making more money, but they beat Colorado in week one and don’t look that bad this year.
That said, Ohio State will be at full strength, with Joey Bosa and a handful of offensive weapons back. And Ohio State is Ohio State. Good luck, Hawaii.
How to watch, stream and listen
TV: 3:30 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network [or Big Ten Network Alternate until the Maryland game ends]
Radio: Ohio State, Hawaii
Online streaming: BTN2GO
Three big things to know
1. After being suspended for the Virginia Tech game, Bosa, Jalin Marshall, Corey Smith and Dontre Wilson are all back. Ohio State has a lot more weapons now, which was clearly a huge problem before. I guess all you have to do is convert a quarterback to wide receiver and it’ll fix everything.
2. How will the quarterbacks be used? Does Jones have a firm grip on the starting job, and how often will Barrett play? We’ll probably learn more every week, but it’s hard to imagine a quarterback as good as Barrett not seeing the field more.
3. Ohio State opened as a 38-point favorite. That might be too close.
